about
In early 2016, Brisbane-based musician Dave Campbell set about writing his self-titled EP, Sometime Sonny. Influenced by a collection of artists including the likes of The Strokes, DMA’s, Tobias Jesso Jr. and Mid Ayr, the EP is shaped to offer diversity from one track to another whilst maintaining a unique flow from beginning to end. Each track was artfully recorded in a concert hall in the early hours of the morning by fellow Brisbane musician, Hugh Middleton before landing on the desk of Alex L’Estrange to bring out the vibes in the ‘Luv Basement’ studio. The EP recounts the tantalising tales of a ‘commitaphobe’ living in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs and is set for release on June, 2017.
